Floors and fireplaces are made of Italian marble. (Gleason was said to have purchased an entire marble quarry in Italy to ensure the ability to import enough quality marble!) There is much folklore that surrounds this property too - if the walls could talk. Gleason’s celebrity guests are fabled to have included Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Joe DiMaggio and Nixon for his midnight soirees. With the original swooping Bars (3), a Game Room (with official Shuffleboard table) and the glamorous Marble Dance Floor, this home was imagined for entertaining.
