Westhampton Real Estate Information

Its proximity to the ocean and bay beaches, and with many miles of waterfront homes, makes the Westhampton area attractive to water and boating enthusiasts.

The Village of Westhampton Beach is located on the scenic south shore of Long Island approximately 78 miles from midtown Manhattan. Westhampton Beach is considered by many to be the “First Hampton” because it was the first village in the Hamptons to begin renting out rooms. It is also the first Hampton reached when traveling from New York City. Westhampton Beach Village has a vibrant town center only a short distance from its magnificent ocean beaches. Its lively village includes a village square right on Main Street, fine boutiques, restaurants, nightclubs, home furnishing stores, coffee houses, a book store, salons, galleries, and Farmer’s Market in season.

Offering a wide array of night life throughout the year, the Westhampton Playhouse and Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center has become a choice music venue for top recording artists. Local restaurants in the Village include The Patio, Star Boggs, Post Stop Café, Westhampton Bath and Tennis Club on the ocean, and many other dining opportunities.

Dedicated to promoting historical research, the Westhampton Beach Historical Society encourages greater knowledge of Westhampton area history and is dedicated to preserving historical artifacts and structures, including the Tuthill House Museum.

The Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce is an excellent resource for activities and events, while the Westhampton Free Library has a very active calendar of events year-round. Also an integral part of the community is the Westhampton Beach School District.
